Woodlands Garden Centre has been part of the local community since it was founded by Pat and Bob Barr in 1969.
Pat and Bob moved from Sevenoaks with their three children and initially lived in a small caravan until the first greenhouses and the new family home was built. This is when the real journey began, starting as a small growing nursery, selling tomatoes at the local markets, to today, spanning nearly 10 acres of garden related items. Plants are still our core business but we now offer many other garden items as well as a brand new cafe specialising in local food and produce to make the experience even more rewarding.
Woodlands Garden Centre has been passed down through the generations with Wayne, (2nd gen) and his wife Kim and their sons Carl, Nick and James (3rd gen), are all credited with how Woodlands is known today; friendly, reliable and specialist knowledge are the core values with which the business operates.
