Cashier/Sales Assistant – Full Time

We are looking for a full time sales assistant to work on our tills in store. The position will be full time, 5 days per week approx. 40 hours. Working weekends on rotation. Previous sales assistant and till experience is essential.

The applicant would need to be physically fit and who won’t mind being on their feet all day, stocking and pricing up indoor goods and serving customers on the tills.

We are looking for an experienced plant area assistant manager to help look after our large plant area. We are a large family run garden centre in the heart of Kent.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Help with purchasing for the department
• Maintain good stock control.
• Training and monitoring your team in absence of manager
• Co-operate fully with your manager
• Ensure all queries and complaints are handled efficiently
• Customer Service expectations are exceeded
• Sales opportunities are generated through interaction with customers
• Seasonal displays are designed and maintained

We are looking for people with:

• Extensive knowledge and experience of working in a retail plant department and/or a horticultural qualification.
• A passion for customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
• You will be flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated
